This activity is about a fishing rule that is quite stricted witch is good because we need fish. The only thing I disagree with is the price of the fine. 100,00 dollars is a huge amount of money. But I'm just a kid so I don't know all about it.
Well done on completing this Summer Learning Journey activity, 'Off the Menu' and sharing with us your thoughts about the rule of overfishing. You're right, the overfishing rule is quite strict which is good because we need the fish to maintain their populations in the oceans, rivers and lakes. Without the rule of overfishing and expensive fines in place, people would break the law and continue to fish in endangered waters. $100,000 dollars is a huge amount of money to pay, you're right. However, you'd only be fined that much money if you were doing the wrong thing and breaking the law anyway! Best we keep the fish in our oceans, lakes and rivers safe so that we can continue to go fishing and provide food to eat without overfishing causing these species to become extinct. You may be just a kid, but children have great opinions too and equally as important.
I look forward to reading more of your blog posts.
