Hi I am back with a SLJ activity this activity is called going going....gone.
How it works is I have to write a letter to someone who has never seen New Zealand or never been to it.
Dear soon to be visitor,
I love living in New Zealand but the problem is some american's don't even think New Zealand is real but that doesn't matter. The capital of New Zealand is Wellington although Auckland city is bigger. New Zealand is a country in the Southwestern Pacific Ocean there are two main islands and they both marked next to volcanoes and glaciation. Hope this is enough for you to learn about New Zealand.

ReplyDeleteWell done for completing another SLJ related activity, 'Going, going.... gone', and for writing a letter of how New Zealand was like in 2018. I like how you've addressed your letter as "soon to be visitor"— very apt as we're not entirely sure of who you'll be talking to, it is much like the address: "to whom it may concern".
I personally think that some American's not being too sure about whether New Zealand is real or not is a good thing. New Zealand is such a precious country and it's important that we don't over-exploit it, and like the nature that inhibits it, we preserve it as much as we can. Good job on informing your readers of the capital city of New Zealand being Wellington, and for clearing up that Auckland may be bigger, but is not our capital city. Do you know why that is?
I look forward to reading your response.
Cheers,
Jordan
