SLJ World Of Wearable (WOW) Arts Activity 1 Day 1 Week 4

The five questions I would like to ask Dame Suzie Moncrieff would probably be...
1. What was you most resent outfit that you made if any?
2. What is your favourite design that you have ever made?
3. How did you feel when you created WOW ?
            4. In your own words what was the wearable arts shows for?
               5. Do you liked being famous since you created this show

  1. Hi Taya,
I thought the questions were very well thought out that you would ask Dame Suzie Moncrieff. It reminds me of my hometown, Nelson which is where WOW first started. You could ask her (by rewording question number 5 to say something like: How has your life changed since you created the show? Suzie must have had to compromise something along the way in the first stages, e.g. family time, budgeting (using a less expensive fabric for a design) etc. When I was studying in Timaru (Fashion and Design Course) my whole class fund raised all year to save to go up to Nelson for the show which was so funny as there were about 12 of us in the course from Nelson.

  2. Kia Ora Taya,

Well done for completing another Summer Learning Journey activity. You've come up with some great questions for Dame Suzie Moncrieff. It's great to see you get so creative with the task. My favourite question you have on your list is number 2. I'm also very curious to know what her favourite design has been since she began WOW and what are the reasons why. I'm very impressed at how you have included a URL hyperlink into your blog post. This is really helpful for the other students and staff that come to read your blog entries. Nice job!
Had you heard about the World of Wearable art prior to completing this activity? It's a great idea that brings the community together and also tackle issues surrounding waste and its effects on the environment. If you could make any outfit out of a recyclable object/objects, what would you design?

I look forward to reading your response!

    Thanks,

    Jordan
