It would depend on what the tourist like to do. Like if some tourist like to have hot air flowing through and going to the beach then the summer is for them. But if the tourist like to going to cold and snowy places like Queenstown then winter could be for them. You never know what New Zealand's weather is like.

SLJ Picture Perfects Activity 3 Day 4 Week 2

Once apon a time there was a lady that travelled to another country on the other side of the world. She lived in New Zealand and went to Canada witch is a long time to travel. But when she got there she was shocked because she never knew what Canada looked like. She walked for a little bit and went on top of her hotel. There was lots little and big buildings in the view. It was night time so she had to go to her room in the hotel. When it was morning she went to the top of her hotel and tried to take the best picture she had ever taken. So she stood on the corner of the building and grabbed her phone. But suddenly she slipped and fell down to the bottom of the 10 storey hotel she was staying at. Someone called the ambulance and she stayed in hospital for about six months. When she got out she left in a wheel chair because when she recovered they said she was paralized. It was so sad because she could never walk again because of that one accident. When she returned to her home in New Zealand she said she was never going back to Canada.

If I had to travel to Milford Sound by Foot, Boat or by plain I would choose by boat because it would be a new experience and I can try to look for different looking fish. 

There was not that much reasons for travelling on the boat but that is alright.

Some of the non-similarity's are the the baseball plant is much shorter that the White Baneberry Plant, the base ball plant is rarer than the other plant, the White Baneberry Plant is red and the base ball plant is green.

The person I think that is strong and tough is Peter, Peter is my uncle. I think he is strong and tough because when ever he gives me a hug I can barely breath and he says it isn't even hard. In my opinion he is really strong.

I don't need to try flax weaving because I have already tried it and it was quite fun. So it does interest me because when ever I flax weave it is for someone special in my family.

 1. put together a dance with my friends and if someone wanted to come they would have to pay $3
2. Have a garage sale and give the money to the people that take care of the Great Barrier Reef

SLJ The Great Taupo Cycle Challenge Activity 2 Day 1 Week 2

The people that I would have on my lake Taupo Cycle Race support team would be My mum because she would keep up my confidence for the hole race, then I would choose my friend Franki because she is a caring person when I can't breath because I have breathing problems and then the last person I would have would be my little sister Dallas because she is so smiley and that makes me happy.

HI I am back with another activity so this one is about maths. I have to work out a maths problem. the problem is adults can carry 25kgs and kids can carry 15kgs and they need to move a giant Squid that weighs 500kgs. I have a picture of how I worked it out. The hole thing will be written under the picture if you can't see the picture. 10 kids 10 adults

20+20= 40 5+5= 10 40+10= 50+50= 100

4 adults

10+10= 20 5+5=10 20+10= 30+30= 60

4 kids

20+10=30 5+5= 10 30+10= 40

1 kid 1 adult

100+60+40= 200+200=400

10 kids 10 adults

20+20+20+20=80 5+5+5+5=20

80+20=100

400+100=50

This equals 10 Kids and 14 Adults

SLJ A local Delicacy Activity 2 Day 3 Week 2

For this post I have to put the ingredients of one of my favourite foods on my blog so here it is.

One of my favourite foods is homemade pizza.

But I don't know how to make the dough.

First you can put tomato sauce or barbecue sauce on the dough.

Then you spreed all of the sauce around the base.

Then grab cheese and sprinkle it on the pizza.

After you can choose your toppings to put on the pizza.

My favourite pizza is ham and cheese so I will just put ham on since I already have cheese.

SLJ Night owls activity 1 day 3 week 2

This activity is about weather I'm and my family are night owls or an early risers.

So I'm going to tell you oldest to youngest. 

My mum is neither of them.

My dad is a night owl and its probably because he works all night.

My sister Ava is also a night owl.

I'm a early riser probably because I use to wake up for school.

The rest of my family (Sisters Peyton, Phoenix and Dallas) are probably night owls just because their on their Chromebook or playing games like baby's.

So none are like me witch is a bit weird because usually someone is the same as me.

How it works is I have to write a letter to someone who has never seen New Zealand or never been to it.

I love living in New Zealand but the problem is some american's don't even think New Zealand is real but that doesn't matter. The capital of New Zealand is Wellington although Auckland city is bigger. New Zealand is a country in the Southwestern Pacific Ocean there are two main islands and they both marked next to volcanoes and glaciation. Hope this is enough for you to learn about New Zealand.

SLJ Living on the edge activity 2 day 5 week 1

Dear Telesia-June,
My trip was usual enough; there was colder weather than New Zealand because New Zealand is usually normal. It can be quite in New Zealand, freezing rarely drops below (00C). The weather is usually normal in New Zealand. But that is not like The tundra. The tundra is mostly land, it is cold there was like no trees and it was quite dry. The common weather there is 280C.

SLJ Blink and you'll miss it Day 5 activity 1 week 1

This activity is about loggers  (people that cut down trees).  For this activity I have to tell you why trees should get cut down and why they shouldn't. Trees should get cut down because they provide things like paper and pencils. But I think they shouldn't because it takes away our oxygen and some creatures homes.

SLJ Salt and Pepper activity 3 Day 4 Week 1

If I built a hotel I would build in Africa or India. This is my drawing of a child's room for a girl. 

I would build hotels all around the country for homeless parents and kids.

I drew this picture all on my own. Sorry about the lighting. 

To build this in real life, for the outside I would use wood and insulation to keep the guest warm and for the inside I would as much colourful materials as I can.

SLJ Pancakes and Maple Syrup? Activity 2 Day 4 week 1

My favourite food that I know how to make is scrambled eggs.
How to make it:
1. grab at least 2 eggs out of your cupboard
2. crack the eggs in a cup
3. grab some milk out of your fridge
4. pour about 2 cm of milk in your cup with the eggs
5. grab the salt out of your cupboard
6. pour a little bit of the salt in the mix
7. mix the eggs the milk and the salt all together
8. grab a frying pan out of another cupboard
9. turn you stove on not to high
10. put the frying pan on the stove part that is burning
11. pour the mix on the pan ( you can put butter around the pan)
12.  stir it around for a bit
13. wait for it to have white parts in most of it
14. then stir it around a bit more
Then once it looks ready grab a plate turn off the stove and scrape the egg on to the plate and enjoy.

If I met Sir Edmund Hillary I would ask him:

SLJ WWF World Wildlife Fund activity 3 Day 3 Week 1

The name of the animal that the WWF is working to save is the Saimaa Ringed Seals.
The WWF is building snowbanks so if the mummy seals give birth to a pup the mummy can give birth to the pup in a safe place so the pup doesn't get eaten by its predators or gets bugged by humans.
The success of protecting the animals could be amazing if the seals are born in the snowbanks.

SLJ Secretive Skink activity 2 Day 3 Week 1

The three pros are:
 your helping the world keep beautiful animals from getting endangered, You might get mentioned on the news for helping these creatures and you could get paid quite a lot.

The three cons are:
You won't be able to see your  family or friends if they don't work with you for a while, If their really small and your doing something to them like a check up they could run away and it would be hard to find them to finish what your doing to it and if they have predators around them you might have to help the creatures.

I would want to be a ranger (DOC) because I could protect the little creatures.
Sorry if the cons and pros don't make sense it was mostly hard to do the cons so they may not make sense at all.

SLJ Awesome Animals avtivity 1 Day 3 week 1

My description of my own beast.

It's name would be Aligrus, their only gender is female, it would feel wrinkly on half of her body and smooth on quarter of the body then the rest on the body will be mixed in with smooth and wrinkly.
When it yawns it sounds like a lion with a scratchy voice. When it speaks it sounds like a happy seal.
If it didn't get rinsed with water it would smell like poisonous roses if it got rinsed by water it would smell like horse poo mixed in apple juice.
Lastly it would look like the a Buffalo with a unicorn on their heads, it would have a pig tail, cow patterns on their backs with a mix of zig zags and two plaits on the side of their heads.

SLJ Weird and Wonderful activity 3 Week 1 Day 2

This is the maths problem I have to work out for the bonus activity worth 10 points.

Let’s imagine that you are given a cactus for your birthday. To keep it alive, you must give it 3 ml of water every day.

Over one full year, how much water will you need to give your cactus plant?

3 ml x 365 days = 1095 ml

So I will have to use 1095 ml of water to water my plant.

Sorry if I got it wrong I am not that good at working out how to explain the equation right.

If I travelled in time to the 1930's I would give the homeless a house and I would give money so if they have kids the kids can go to school. I would also give money to people that can't eat or drink so they can buy food and have a healthier life.

My Bullying Speech

Bullying ‘‘let’s go and punch her because she’s smart’’. ‘‘ let’s go put a kick me sign on her back like we did yesterday’’. Hi my name is Taya and I have one question for you Have you ever been bullied? Bullying is when a you or a group repeatedly say or do things hurtful to another person. Bullying is an unhealthy habit to get into because if your hurting a person it could damage their life. There are many types of bullying today I’m going to talk about four kinds of bullying. Cyber bullying, social bullying, verbal bullying and physical bullying. Cyber bullying is when you can get hold of a strangers or a person you knows email or cell phone number and start writing and sending hurtful comments. Those comments can make a person feel bad about themselves. Another type of bullying is physical bullying which is when you hurt another person on purpose. This includes kicking, hitting, spitting, tripping, pinching and even frightening another person. If a bully does that to you, you could get badly injured. The next one is verbal bullying. This is where you get name called all the time. It may be a nickname that someone gives you that they think is funny but it actually really hurts your feelings. Being called a name one two many times can hurt a you or a persons more than a punch or a hit. Lastly is social bullying. This is when you or groups ignore or leave me out on purpose. When you do that it leaves me feeling lonely and as if I have no friends. Remember if someone does that to you or someone you know then you should stand up to them by telling someone you trust like your parents or even your teacher. If you let bullying go on it changes you. You become sadder and can affect the way you sleep, eat and get along with others. You may stop doing the things you used to enjoy and you may stop doing your best work at school. In serious cases a you may feel so bullied that you change schools or you might think about attempting suicide. I hope you have learnt something from my speech and that you will think about the way you treat others.
